The Blue Shrimp (青海老 Blue Shrimp), also known as ao_mushi (Blue Insect) in the files, is one of the many forms of the Oni that inhabit the mansion.

The Blue Shrimp appears to be an insectoid creature with six legs, long antennae and a tail. An eye is also present on the creature's back, which opens when it appears. Although it usually moves around slowly, if Hiroshi gets too close it will sprint at him which can result in an instant Game Over.
In the prototype/unfinished form, it has 3 frames of idle animation and no antennae.
It first appears on the third floor of the Annex, crashing through a window. Afterwards, it appears in multiple rooms throughout the Annex; whether there are multiple is unknown.

Trivia[]
- If the player waits by the door when the Blue Shrimp attacks, it can be narrowly escaped.
- The Blue Shrimp was removed in the 6.23 update and replaced with Fuwatty; acting as its spiritual successor.
- Arguably this role could also be assigned to the Takeshi Oni since it appears in the same area as the Blue Shrimp; though it is behaviourally less similar.
